Sheriff’s Office introduces ‘State Automated Victim Information and Notification’ system

From the Madison County Sheriff’s Office –

Madison County Sheriff John Mehr and Gary Cordell, State Program Coordinator of the Tennessee Sheriff’s Association shared details of the launching of a County wide campaign to promote and highlight their Tennessee SAVIN (State Automated Victim Information and Notification) system at the West Tennessee Regional Training Center, 317 Denmark-Jackson Road, Tuesday.

“SAVIN is a tool for crime victims,” Sheriff Mehr said. “Being able to check on the custody status of an offender anytime, day or night, and being able to easily register – free and anonymously – to be notified if that status changes gives them tremendous peace of mind and helps keep them safe.”
