Master Medical Equipment donates 3 AEDs to West Tennessee School for the Deaf

Friends of Heart, a fund of the West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation, partnered with Master Medical Equipment to donate 3 AEDs to the West Tennessee School for the Deaf.

AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) are used to help people who are experiencing sudden cardiac arrest, by delivering electrical shocks to re-establish the heart’s rhythm and giving instructions on how to perform effective CPR.

AEDs are the only way to restore a regular heart rhythm to victims of sudden cardiac arrest, and quick deployment of an AED often makes the difference when a life is on the line.

Trent Harris, Clinical Sales Specialist at Master Medical Equipment, performed AED & CPR training at the teacher’s inservice on September 7.

The AEDs delivered to the West TN School for the Deaf come with visual prompts to assist those who may be hearing impared.

It is crucial that any bystander is able to use this life-saving device in case of a sudden cardiac emergency. Friends of Heart and Master Medical Equipment are committed to making Jackson a safer community by placing AEDs in businesses, parks, and schools.
