Trailer nearly full as Sheriff’s Dept. fundraiser for flood victims continues – 5 p.m.-7 p.m., at Walmart North, today

The goal of packing out a trailer with non-perishable items at Walmart North, 2196 Emporium Drive, is just about complete.

Deputy Mark Reeves of the Madison County Sheriff’s Department is the coordinator for this special humanitarian drive that will aid residents of Waverly and Humphreys County, which was devastated by flooding, last Saturday.

The three-day effort, which started Wednesday, will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., today.

Cash donations will also be accepted and receipts will be given.

Checks should be made out to the Madison County Deputy Sheriff’s Association.

You may continue to bring non-perishable items to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, 317 Denmark-Jackson Road, in Denmark, TN 38391.
