From the Madison County Sheriff’s Office –
Madison County Sheriff John Mehr is asking citizens to be involved in assisting the Waverly area flood survivors.
Beginning Wednesday afternoon through Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the MCSO will have a trailer set up outside the north Wal-Mart Store 2196 Emporium Drive in Jackson.
Deputy Mark Reeves (731-467-0040 cell) is the coordinator for this special humanitarian drive to bless these individuals and families who are so devastated by the floods last Saturday.
Sheriff Mehr has been in contact with the Sheriff’s in Humphreys and Houston counties and this is what they need: cleaning supplies, clothing, diapers, food, but please do not bring any perishable food items.
Deputy Reeves said “cash donation will be accepted and receipts will be given.” Checks should be made out to the Madison County Deputy Sheriff’s Association.
