The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 24-year-old female died Aug. 20, 2021 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 250 in Madison County.
The health department has received positive test results for 519 more cases of COVID-19 since Aug. 20, 2021. We now have 14,359 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 8,213 have recovered.
Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
