The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms an 85-year-old female died Aug. 10 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 244 in Madison County.
The health department has received positive test results for 513 more cases of COVID-19 since Aug. 13, 2021. We now have 13,479 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 11,728 have recovered.
Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
