The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 50-year-old male died Aug. 1 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 240 in Madison County.
The health department has received positive test results for 212 more cases of COVID-19 since July 30, 2021. We now have 12,122 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 11,411 have recovered.
Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
