The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 73-year-old male died July 26 and a 76-year-old female died July 28 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 239 in Madison County – 11,394 have recovered.
The health department has received positive test results for 110 more cases of COVID-19 since July 27, 2021. We now have 11,910 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.
Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
