Jones Chevrolet opens new dealership on 45 Bypass, Monday
Jones Chevrolet makes its move from Humboldt to 5390 U.S. Highway 45 Bypass near Three Way, at 7 a.m., Monday.
The dealership is moving into a new 30,000 square foot store.
The business, located at 3523 East End Drive in Humboldt, will close.
The building, not the business – Mighty Products distribution center sells for $9.2 million
Four Springs Capital Trust of Lake Como, New Jersey has purchased the 163,000 square foot Mighty Products Distribution Center, 2495 Dr. F.E. Wright Drive, for $9.2 million from MTY, LLC.
MTY, LLC was represented by Eden Smith of Coldwell Banker Barnes.
Mighty of the Mid-South (MMS) and Mighty Product Center (MPC) are located together in Jackson. MPC is Mighty’s distribution center that supports 100+ U.S. distributors in 45 states and five international master distributors.
MMS is Mighty’s distributor that services professional automotive installers located in Western Tennessee, Northern Mississippi, Southern Kentucky, and areas across the USA that are not supported by a local Mighty distributor.
MPC and MMS have been part of the Jackson community since 1983. Mighty selected Jackson because of its central location between Nashville and Memphis, placing MPC within a day’s drive to over 76% of the United States’ major markets.
In 1987 Mighty Product Center moved to a larger space and, in 1992, built an entirely new facility at 2495 F.E. Wright Drive. Mighty expanded its facility in 2000 and again in 2017. MPC has an impressive average employee tenure of 14+ years, and their safety record has been exceptional, with no lost time accidents since 2015.

Wendy’s adding fourth restaurant in Jackson
The hamburger wars in Park Place West are heating up.
When construction is complete, Wendy’s will join Burger King, McDonald’s and Sonic on Christmasville Cove, off Dr. F.E. Wright Drive.
The new location will be Wendy’s fourth Jackson location.
Restaurants are also located at 1912 North Highland Avenue, 873 Vann Drive and1646 South Highland Avenue.
New home construction, renovations continue in midtown Jackson
The popularity of living in midtown Jackson continues with new home construction and renovation of older homes.
“The Jackson Walk and LANA (Lambuth Area Neighborhood Association) neighborhood continues to remain one of the hottest areas of Jackson and West Tennessee for single family homes,” Chris Alexander said, “Over 50 new homes have been built since 2013, and builders have plans to break ground on at least 12 new homes in the next few months.
“In addition, it’s exciting as I drive around the neighborhood to see numerous construction dumpsters in driveways and renovation work going on in these beautiful historic homes.”
Alexander, who serves as Vice President of Retail & Residential Development, Healthy Community, LLC, said he believes the momentum will continue with the addition of two new high schools in the area.
“The completion of Jackson Central-Merry and Madison Academic for classes this fall should help heighten the interest in the area as families look to live near these neighborhood schools,” Alexander said.
Flash Market, 2184 Hollywood Drive, sells for $2 million +
Flash Market LLC, 2184 Hollywood Drive, has been sold to ANSH Properties Inc., for $2,500,000.
The sale adds to a growing list of commercial properties to sell in Jackson-Madison County since March 2021.
Located near Interstate 40, Torna LLC purchased Rodeway Inn, 2239 Hollywood Drive, from Eshanya TN Hotels for $2 million.
– Hill Boren Properties, 1269 North Highland Ave., sold for $525,000.
Toyota Motor Manufacturing Tennessee recognized by Tennessee General Assembly
Toyota Motor Manufacturing Tennessee was honored by the General Assembly of the state of Tennessee with a resolution that recognized the company and its team members for the great accomplishments and contributions to the community at its Jackson facilty in the Airport Industrial Park, Monday.
“I could not be more excited and pleased today, that state representatives Johnny Shaw (D-Hardeman County, Madison County) and Chris Todd (R-Madison County) and state senator Ed Jackson (R-Jackson) were here to bestow upon us a resolution recognizing our company and our team members for the great accomplishments and contributions to our community,” said Wes Woods, “It’s really exciting to see this and receive that on behalf of all of our team members.”
Wes Woods is the president of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Tennessee, which employees about 350 people.
“Our team members in Jackson manufacture engine blocks for every single Toyota and Lexus manufactured in North America,” Woods said, “Not only with that, they manufacture transmission cases and housing for many of the models built here in North America.”
Toyota Motor Manufacturing Tennessee produces 4-cylinder engine blocks for Camry, Corolla, RAV4 and V6 engine blocks for, Camry Highlander, Sienna, the Tacoma pickup and the Lexus ES and Lexus RX, and the V8 engine block for Sequoia SUV and Tundra truck.
