One person is reported deceased after a single engine airplane crashed at 260 Sturdivant Crossing in Mercer, according to reports from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.

At 9:32 a.m., the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Madison County Fire Department and the Medical Center EMS responded to the crash.

The Madison County Fire Department located the airplane at 11 a.m., today.

The flight plan was from Memphis to Asheville, North Carolina.
