David Hunt approved to construct Jackson Solar Microgrid on Roosevelt Parkway

The consideration of a design review application for Jackson Solar Microgrid, proposed to be located at Roosevelt Parkway on 34.27 acres, was approved by the Jackson Planning Commission during its monthly meeting at Jackson City Hall, Wednesday.

The application was submitted by Community Development Enterprises on behalf of developer David Hunt.

The nearest residential facility from the solar panels to the property line is about 30- to 35-feet, and roughly 60- to 65-feet from existing residential homes.

The city also has an urban environment, which makes the space tighter than it would be in the county.

A slatted, 8-foot tall fence, buffer landscaping and replacement trees must be maintained, and replaced when necessary, for the full life of the project.
