The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 61-year-old female died June 2 due to complications from COVID-19.

This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 235 in Madison County.

The health department received positive test results for six new cases of COVID-19. We now
have 11,507 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 11,209 have recovered.

The newest cases range from ages 15 to 80.

Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact
with these cases.

Three Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. None of those patients are on
ventilators.
