The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 92-year-old female died May 22 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 234 in Madison County.
The health department received positive test results for four new cases of COVID-19. We now have 11,469 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 11,160 have recovered.
The newest cases range from ages 16 to 43.
Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
Four Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. One of those patients is on a ventilator.
