JACKSON Tenn (July 29, 2015) – One more day of dangerous heat is expected on Wednesday which will be the last of the prolonged heat wave across the mid-south.

A cold front will move through the region late Wednesday night and Thursday morning bringing an end to the oppressive temperatures…

High temperatures in the middle and upper 90s combined with high humidity will produce heat index readings over 110 degrees from
Late morning through early evening across eastern Arkansas, Northwest Mississippi and extreme west Tennessee including the Memphis metropolitan area.

Heat index values over the remainder of the mid-south will exceed 105 degrees.

A cold front will move south through the region beginning late Wednesday night bringing an end to the dangerous heat and humidity.
