The Jackson Transit Authority joined the “Transportation World” today in celebration of National Transportation Week at the downtown Jackson transfer bus center, 431 East Main Street.
“JTA General Manager Travis Franklin opened the celebration with welcoming remarks, opening prayer by bus driver Joe Coleman, along with words of encouragement from JTA Transportation Manager Erris “Sonny” Yarbrough,” said Ricky Brown, Grace Media Group, “Jackson City Councilman Johnny Dodd spoke for the City of Jackson in his appreciation and recognition of all JTA staff and drivers for the “outstanding safe service they provide daily to the citizens of Jackson.””
Ricky Brown is a bus operator for JTA and works in communications for local transportation union 1285.
Also JTA maintenance staff of Charles Smith and staff along with office administrative staff provided a safe clean wonderful facility for these events for the staff snd public to enjoy.
JTA staff, bus operators, customers along with local officials gathered Monday at the JTA transfer center calling attention to National Transportation Week nation wide.
