Trees down, power out, roads blocked due to storm

Strong winds took down trees in north Jackson, and blocked Highway 18 just outside Medon.

Downed trees are on Raines Springs Road, south of Bemis.

Earlier, Jackson Energy Authority reported 5,100 customers are without power.

According to Ricky Brown- Grace Media Group – traffic lights are out in the area of West Towne Commons – Kroger, Target.

“Please utilize caution and treat all intersections as four-way stops,” Brown said, “This goes for any traffic light that may be inoperable throughout the city.

“Also, be aware that there are numerous reports of downed trees and power lines across Madison County.”
