JACKSON Tenn (July 26, 2015) – Police are looking for two suspects in connection with a shooting that happened Saturday night.
Around 8:45 Saturday evening shots were fired from at least one vehicle at another along Oil Well Road in north Jackson. Police shut down a section of the road between between Hwy. 45 and Old Humboldt Road for several hours.
Chief Julian Wiser was at the scene along with other JPD officers. Wiser said shots were fired from at least one vehicle at another and a third vehicle was struck by gunshots. Wiser said they don’t believe the shooting was random and the third car was not involved.
The driver of one of the cars involved wrecked and the driver was taken into custody. The second car got away.
Chief Wiser said investigators are looking for an “older model  tan sedan, like a Cutlass or ‘box’ style Chevy”, at the time occupied by two black males.
Police are looking for two suspects described as black males in connection with the shooting.
