JACKSON Tenn (July 21, 2015) — We are learning more about the circumstances surrounding the death of Harvey Gandy.

According to an affidavit, on January 26 of this year at approximately 6 o’clock in the evening officers were dispatched to Crescent Avenue apartment.

Officers found Harvey Gandy inside his apartment lying on his sofa with an apparent gunshot wound to the upper torso. he was deceased.

Gandy’s girlfriend Lacresha Curry stated that she was at the apartment earlier in the day and saw the defendant, Corey Scott, with Harvey Gandy in his apartment.

According to Curry when she came back to Gandy’s apartment at 3 o’clock she looked through the window and saw Mr Gandy laying on the sofa. She told police  she believed he was asleep

Curry said she returned later and when she couldn’t  wake Gandy to answer the door she forced entry into the apartment and discovered Harvey Gandy’s deceased body on his sofa

Curry stated that items belonging to Gandy were missing from his apartment and that it appeared that someone had ransacked his residence.

According to police, during the course of the investigation a witness contacted investigators and told them Corey Scott had confessed to killing Harvey Gandy. The said the details provided by the witness were corroborated by evidence collected by investigators.
