JACKSON Tenn (July 20, 2015) — Jackson police have charged an adult and a juvenile in connection with last Friday’s homicide of Beau Reid
20 year-old Christopher Orlando Lyles, and a 17-year-old male, both of Jackson, are charged with first-degree murder.
Both are also charged with aggravated burglary, two counts of attempted aggravated robbery, two counts of aggravated kidnapping and employing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.
Lyles was arraigned at 8 a.m. Monday in Jackson City Court where he was ordered held with no bond.
The 17-year-old is anticipated to have a detention hearing in Madison County Juvenile Court.
Police are not searching for any other suspects in connection
with these crimes.
According to police, at approximately 3:53 a.m. Friday, July 17, police were called about a shooting in Lincoln Courts. Officers arrived to find 29-year-old Beau Reid, of Jackson, outside apartment 124-A with gunshot wounds. He was transported to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital and pronounced dead.
As a result of the investigation, officers conducted searches in apartment at 33 Carver Avenue and Lincoln Courts.
With the assistance of the surveillance cameras in Lincoln Courts and 33 Carver Avenue and by interviewing witnesses, Investigators identified two suspects.
Lyles remains in custody in the Madison County Jail
