The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms six additional COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the total to 219 in Madison County. The newest deaths include:
- 95-year-old female (died 11/23/2020)
- 67-year-old female (died 12/7/2020)
- 85-year-old male (died 1/1/2021)
- 83-year-old male (died 1/6/2021)
- 87-year-old male (died 1/25/2021)
- 77-year-old female (died 1/27/2021)
The health department received positive test results for three more cases of COVID-19. We now have 11,039 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 10,431 have recovered.
The newest confirmed cases range from ages 22 to 45.
Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
Five Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. One of those patients is on a ventilator.
