The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 61-year-old male died March 10 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 198 in Madison County.

The health department received positive test results for seven more cases of COVID-19. We now have 10,976 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 10,427 have recovered.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 21 to 70.

Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Four Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Two of those patients are on ventilators.
