Trinity Christian Academy is pleased to announce Dexter Williams as our new Athletic Director and Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach for the 2021-2022 School Year.
A native of Trezevant, TN, Dexter Williams is known in West Tennessee for his basketball career as a student-athlete at West Carroll High School and Union University, and for the meaningful impact he’s made as a high school coach and education administrator.
He is currently the Superintendent for the West Carroll Special School District and has over twenty years of professional experience in education and athletics. He serves as president of the Down Syndrome Association of West Tennessee, advisory board member of Union University’s EDGE program, and district seven representative for the TSSAA Board of Control.
Dexter has a long list of accomplishments, including his 2019 induction into the Jackson Madison County Sports Hall of Fame.
More importantly, Dexter is a man of God easily recognized for his humility, integrity, and genuine love for his family and community. Dexter and his wife Amber have three children, Kayleigh, Karcyn and Kaleb. They attend Englewood’s North Campus and we are delighted to welcome them to the Lion community.
Dexter says, “My family and I are excited to join the ministry of Trinity Christian Academy. I am looking forward to meeting and working with the staff and students. I plan to be a servant leader and to be an intrical part in continuing to advance the goals and mission of TCA. I am also thrilled to return to the sidelines and have the opportunity to coach and mentor students through athletics.”
Trinity Christian Academy exists to assist Christian families and their churches in providing a Biblically-directed, academically excellent education that helps equip students to become Godly leaders and servants in their homes, churches, and communities.
The TCA community has been blessed beyond measure by the outstanding character and service of Coach Ken Northcut over the past 19 years, and we are grateful for his continued leadership for the remainder of this school year. We are also honored to partner in leadership and ministry with a man such as Coach Dexter Williams as he joins the Christ-centered mission of TCA.
