The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 72-year-old male died Mar. 7 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 196 in Madison County – 10,411 have recovered.

The health department received positive test results for three more cases of COVID-19. We now have 10,949 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 24 to 58.

Epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Three Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. One of those patients is on a ventilator.
