JACKSON Tenn (July 17, 2015) – 23-year-old Corey Scott, of Jackson, has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder in the homicide of Harvey Gandy.
Around 6 p.m. Jan. 26, officers responded to a shooting at Crest View Apartments,
Gandy was found dead inside his residence with an apparent gunshot wound.
Investigators believe Harvey Gandy was shot earlier that day, there was no evidence of a break-in at the apartment.
According to Investigators, they continued to follow leads and develop the case. A warrant was signed for Scott’s arrest.
Officers with the Jackson Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit and Patrol Division arrested Scott at a residence in the 100 block of Tomlin Street in Jackson.
Scott remains in custody at the Madison County Jail awaiting formal arraignment at 8 a.m. Monday in Jackson City Court.
