From the Jackson Police Department –

A subject involved in a serious stabbing incident at 576 Airways Boulevard, has been apprehended by the Tennessee Highway Patrol on Interstate 40.

On February 27th at approximately 10:15 p.m., officers with the Jackson Police Department were dispatched to a stabbing at Airways Motel where they located a subject suffering from multiple stab wounds. Officers conducted life-saving First Aid treatment until Emergency Medical Service arrived on the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment. The victim is stable.

The suspect in the incident fled prior to officers arrival and was later apprehended on I-40. The suspect in this case will be arraigned later today, March 1st, and will be charged with Attempted First Degree Murder.
