The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 65-year-old female died Feb. 17 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 185 in Madison County.
The health department received positive test results for 18 more cases of COVID-19. We now have 10,875 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 10,323 have recovered.
The newest confirmed cases range from ages 10 to 66.
Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
Six Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. One of those patients is on a ventilator.
