The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms an 81-year-old female died Feb. 17 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 deaths to 183 in Madison County.

The health department received positive test results for 4 more cases of COVID-19. We now have 10,793 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 10,168 have recovered.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 21 to 93.

Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Eight Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. One of those patients is on a ventilator.
