College football – Bethel University opens 2021 season at home, Friday

MCKENZIE, Tenn. – Bethel University opens the home portion of its 2021 football schedule at Wildcat Stadium against the University of Pikeville at 7 p.m., Friday.

Bethel’s game at Campbellsville, February 12, was postponed.

The Mid-South Conference Administrative Council voted and passed an additional bye week in the MSC 2020-21 Football schedule. The reasoning is both COVID and weather related and revolved around the fact that teams must play six games to be eligible for postseason competition. With only seven games on the schedule, the group voted to add the additional bye week so that teams would have two weeks to make up any postponements.

The MSC schools opened the season February 12. The originally scheduled March 5 games will be moved to that date with March 5 now a bye week to be used if necessary.

Bethel has three home games with four slated on the road. All games will be Bluegrass Division contests.
