HAYWOOD COUNTY, Tenn. (July 9, 2015)– Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) confirms two fatal wrecks along Interstate 40 in Haywood County within an hour of each other.

The first occurred at approximately 5:00 p.m. in eastbound lanes near mile marker 66 and The accident involved a motorcycle. Troopers with the THP have not released a cause.

According to Memphis THP a crash involving a tractor-trailer and SUV about an hour later in the westbound lanes at mile marker 64. That accident also resulted in a fatality.

The victims’ names have not been released, and the accidents remain under investigation.
