(July 9, 2015)  AP – South Carolina’s House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly early Thursday to pass a Senate  bill to remove of the Confederate battle flag from the grounds of the statehouse in Columbia. 

The bill now goes to Gov. Nikki Haley, who is expected to sign it into law.
