The Jackson Energy Authority Board met to discuss several items of business. The board was presented resolutions for:
- The purchase of Three Phase Pad Mount Transformers for upcoming commercial projects.
- Amending a prior resolution that allows JEA to enter a Natural Gas Prepayment Project that will provide savings to JEA gas ratepayers.
- The purchase of materials for the Bemis Water Main Rehabilitation Project that will improve water infrastructure to homes and business in Bemis.
- The purchase of replacement pumps for the South Forked Deer River Lift Station to better serve south Jackson.
“All items were approved and will provide improvement to the system with potential savings to customers,” said Monte Jones, JEA’s chairman of the board, “The Board also received the annual audit for June 30, 2020 with no findings cited in the audit. The Board recognized the good work of JEA supported by the audit.”
