The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms two additional COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the total to 149 in Madison County.
The newest deaths include:
- 83-year-old male (died 1/3/2021)
- 80-year-old male (died 12/26/2020)
The health department received positive test results for 65 more cases of COVID-19. We now have 9,546 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 6,943 have recovered.
The newest confirmed cases range from ages 6 to 81.
Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
Twenty-seven Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Three of those patients are on a ventilator.
