The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms two additional COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the total to 144 in Madison County.
The newest deaths include:
- 74-year-old male (died 1/2/2021)
- 78-year-old male (died 1/2/2021)
The health department received positive test results for 66 more cases of COVID-19. We now have 8,963 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 6,855 have recovered.
The newest confirmed cases range from ages 5 to 90.
Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
Twenty Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Three of those patients are on a ventilator.
