The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms two additional COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the total to 135 in Madison County.
The newest deaths include:
- 82-year-old male (died 12/24/2020)
- 72-year-old male (died 12/25/2020)
The health department received positive test results for 78 more cases of COVID-19. We now have 8,180 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 6,418 have recovered.
The newest confirmed cases range from ages 13 to 96.
Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
Sixteen Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Six of those patients are on a ventilator.
