From the Jackson Police Department –

The Jackson Police Department has charged Frances Cornett, a 36-year-old female, with First Degree Murder for her intentional actions which resulted in the death of her 17 month old child on December 1, 2020.

Frances Cornett was released from a local hospital this afternoon and transported to the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex where she is being held pending her formal arraignment on the charge which will occur in Jackson City Court.
