The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 64-year-old male died Nov. 24 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 115 in Madison County.

The health department received positive test results for 103 more cases of COVID-19. We now have 6,368 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 5,327 have recovered.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 1 to 89.

Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Twenty-seven Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Five of those patients are on a ventilator.
