JACKSON, Tenn. (July 1, 2015) – Two siblings have been indicted in connection with the 2013 slaying of a Beech Bluff man.

25-year-old Brett Atchison was indicted on Monday on charges of first-degree murder and felony murder in the death of 25-year-old William J. Nachlinger. Atchison sister, Meghan Atchison, was indicted on a charge of filing a false police report. The siblings are also from Beech Bluff.

Police say Nachlinger was Meghan Atchison’s boyfriend when he was killed in March 2013.

Brett Atchison is accused of killing Nachlinger somewhere in Madison County and then leaving his body inside a car in Jackson.

Authorities say Meghan Atchison later made false statements to police to hinder the investigation.

Surveillance video and forensic evidence linked Brett Atchison to the crime, according to police and court documents.
