MADISON CO, Tenn. — Madison County Commissioners approved the budget for Madison County at a special called meeting Wednesday.
The budget, including all Federal, State, and Local revenue, will give official approximately $185 million to operate the county.
Discussion included questions about a new data payroll system. County officials believe the system will eventually benefit by being more accurate.
The county has signed a seven-year agreement with Munis Software, commissioners had questions about implementing data-processing equipment.
Finance Director, Mike Nichols, said the operating costs will be less expensive the first year because the county will allow Munis to use its own Cloud system rather than county technology.
No word on how long it will take to fully implement the system.
