The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 77-year-old male died Nov. 24 due to complications from COVID-19. That brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 101 in Madison County.
The health department received positive test results for 91 more cases of COVID-19. We now have 5,489 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 4,381 recovered.
The newest confirmed cases range from ages 5 months to 80.
Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
Seventeen Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Five of those patients are on a ventilator.
