The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms an 85-year-old female died Nov. 20 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 96 in Madison County.
The health department received positive test results for 65 more cases of COVID-19. We now have 5,303 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 4,198 have recovered.
The newest confirmed cases range from ages 4 months to 90.
Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
Twenty-two Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Two of those patients are on a ventilator.
