Road rage cooperative arrest made by Madison County, Chester County authorities

From the office of John Mehr, Madison County Sheriff –

On November 7, at approximately 9:17 a.m., Madison County Deputies responded to Highway 45 South in Pinson, in reference to a road rage incident.

Upon arrival, Deputies made contact with the victims who stated that as they pulled onto Highway 45 South from Stone Road, the suspect’s vehicle approached them at a high rate of speed, change lanes, proceeded to get in front of them and “brake check” them.

The victims then added that they then passed the suspect in the fast lane and heard two shots. They described the suspect and the vehicle.

Deputies observed one gunshot through the back passenger rear glass and that it had hit the frame just behind the drivers head and they found a puncture in the side of the passenger front tire of the vehicle.

Deputies with the Chester County Sheriff’s Department shortly afterwards got into a pursuit with a vehicle that matched the description of the suspect’s, and were able to apprehend the suspect.

The suspect has been identified as Ty Patterson of Pinson and is currently facing charges in both jurisdictions.

Sheriff Mehr appreciated the combined efforts from Officers from the Chester County Sheriff’s Department, Henderson Police Department and Madison County Deputies.
