‘Koins for Kids’ – on-air personality looks to raise $5,000 when charitable event goes live, Friday

The project NEWS/TALK 101.5 FM, 93.1 FM & WNWS.COM on-air personality George B. is taking on from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday, makes a lot of sense, which he is looking to turn into a lot of dollars.

“I’ve heard for months there is a coin shortage in America,” George B. said, “There is no coin shortage … people have got trays of coins, they have got bottles of coins, jars of coins – they don’t how many coins they’ve got (and) we’re going to prove on Friday, Nov. 13, there is no coin shortage in America, and every cent collected in downtown Jackson at the corner of (North) Shannon and (West) Lafayette, will go to the Rusty Mac Adopt a Teen Christmas Fund.”

The northwest corner of North Shannon and West Lafayette just happens to be the home of Grace Media Group’s NEWS/TALK 101.5 FM.

The event will be simulcast on NEWS/TALK 101.5 FM & 93.1 FM.

George B. said several school children have already gotten into the act, and numerous businesses have started saving coins toward a goal of $5,000.Bring it, donate it, have it counted for tax purposes!

Neighborhood
Business Collection

For tax purposes, anyone who donates will be given a receipt.

In case of inclement weather, the event will be held on the patio at The Blacksmith Restaurant, 216 North Shannon Street.
