State Suspends A Jackson Attorney

JACKSON Tenn. (June 26, 2015) – Jackson Attorney, Gregory Wayne Minton, has been suspended from practice by the Tennessee Supreme Court for five years. Minton was also ordered to pay restitution to five former clients and costs of the disciplinary action to the Board of Professional Responsibility, according to documents.

A Petition for Discipline was filed against Minton which cited multiple complaints of ethical misconduct, including allegations of lack of diligence, lack of communication, abandonment of practice, failure to appear in court, negligence, accepting fees and then failing to provide adequate legal services, contempt of court, misuse of his trust account causing overdrafts in his trust account. Minton also failed to notify clients of his temporary suspension entered June 14, 2013.

Minton entered into a Conditional Guilty Plea, which was approved by a Hearing Panel and the Tennessee Supreme Court for the violations for which he is accused.

For Minton to be reinstated he must comply with the requirements of Tennessee Supreme Court Rules regarding the obligations and responsibilities of a suspended attorney.

  1. Ok, well my cousin has lost his life as of today 10/22/25 in an truck accident in Virginia. So there, you can suspend that if you like. I do no god put me here for a reason to protect me and protect me, my family, and friends from harm. I do think the law protects us and are why we are protected as of today. I also believe there are other who believe different. I lost a great cousin but I gained one more piece to why I don’t trust some that feel they are beyond the one given aspect of life. Believe in yourself and what you know is right and that my friend is a dangerous method no man or object can destroy.
