With a difference of 800,000 votes, Bradshaw not conceding Senate race to Hagerty

When Bill Hagerty easily defeated Dr. Manny Sethi in the U.S. Senate Republican Primary in August, the general consensus was – Hagerty would join fellow Republican Marsha Blackburn in Washington to represent the state of Tennessee.

According to the final vote totals, Hagerty won in a landside over Democrat Marquita Bradshaw in Tuesday’s Election.

Hagerty collected 1,837,940 votes or 62.2% of the total ballots cast compared to Bradshaw, who picked up 35.1% or 1,037,405 votes.

But Bradshaw, according to published reports, is not, and has not conceded the race, even suggesting, again according to published reports, some of her votes are missing.

During a fiery speech after the race was called, Bradshaw told a crowd of voters she won’t concede.

“This is not a concession speech,” Bradshaw said, “It is on the principle of democracy that we will fight until every last vote is counted.”
