The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 74-year-old female died Oct. 8 and a 62-year-old female died Oct. 11 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 74 in Madison County.
The health department received positive test results for 47 more cases of COVID-19. We now have 3,467 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 3.140 recovered.
The newest confirmed cases include 17 males, 25 females, 5 unknowns and range from ages 1 to 85.
Epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
Eight Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Three of those patients are on a ventilator.
