The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 70-year-old male died Sept. 26 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 70 in Madison County.
The health department received positive test results for 25 more cases of COVID-19. We now have 3,220 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 2,960 recovered.
The newest confirmed cases include 10 males, 15 females, and range from ages 4 to 88.
Our Epidemiology staff is reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
Four Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. None of those patients are on a ventilator.
