A diesel spill from an 18-wheeler, which started in the vicinity of Airways Boulevard and the U.S. Highway 45 Bypass and continued through Pinson, has northbound Highland Avenue traffic redirected at the Carl Perkins Civic Center.

The Jackson Police Department has southbound traffic continuing its normal flow.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation is coordinating the cleanup by spreading sand.

The Jackson Fire Department is assisting with the spill.
