The extent of injuries are not known, but the Jackson Police Department, Medical Center EMS and the Jackson Fire Department are working an automobile accident on the U.S. Highway 45 Bypass at Airways Boulevard.
Both southbound lanes on the bypass are blocked. JPD is directing traffic, but motorists are urged to avoid the area if possible.
