Youth Town announces new chief executive officer & chief operating officer

The Board of Directors for Youth Town of Tennessee is pleased to announce the hiring of Dr. Joe V. Fote as the new Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Youth Town.

Following a nationwide search conducted with an outside recruiting firm, Dr. Fote was
selected among three finalists. He currently serves as the Assistant Regional Director of
Operations for Trinity Health Systems in Bluffton, S.C., one of the largest multi-institutional
Christian health care delivery systems in the U.S., serving communities in 22 states through over 200 hospitals and continuing care facilities.

Prior to this role, Dr. Fote has served within the healthcare industry in a number of key executive roles such as CEO, CFO, and Vice President at hospitals throughout the country.

Dr. Fote received his PhD in psychology from Cornerstone University and holds a Master of Business Administration from Thomas More College. He is a board certified Licensed Pastoral Counselor and ordained minister through the National Conservative Christian Church.

In addition to his clinical and religious background, Dr. Fote is also an experienced fundraiser and published author of Career Geyser: Secrets that Propel You to Success, which he wrote with his wife, Lynn.

“We are so excited Dr. Fote has accepted our offer to serve as the next Chief Executive Officer at Youth Town. I am fully confident he has all the tools needed to help us reach the next stage of growth that we believe is the future of Youth Town,” said Dusty King, Youth Town’s Interim Board Chairman. “To be able to have a man of his wisdom and talents to lead our organization right now is such a gift.”

In addition to Dr. Fote’s hire, the board also approved the promotion of Mr. Nick Summar to a newly created position of Chief Operating Officer (COO). As COO, Nick will oversee compliance, operations and additional initiatives at Youth Town.

Interim Board Chair King commented, “The board clearly recognizes the way that Mr. Summar has faithfully served over the last several years. He is a great asset to Youth Town and we look forward to his leadership and mentorship under Dr. Fote in this new role. I am thrilled that we can begin the transition of both roles this month and continue the life-changing work that Youth Town is doing each day.”

Once the transition begins this month, Brad Franks, the current Interim Executive Director for Youth Town, will resume his former role as Board Chairman. The full Board of Directors for Youth Town also wishes to express their gratitude to Mr. Franks to his service to Youth Town over the past 3 months.

Youth Town is a residential treatment facility serving at-risk youth between the ages of 12-17 within a Christian environment at their Pinson and Beach Bluff locations. Their mission is to offer professional residential treatment services for co-occurring mental health disorders.
