Jackson, TN – Phoenix Theatres Entertainment, LLC is proud to announce the reopening date for The Empire 8 Theatre, 1511 Vann Drive, in Jackson, TN.
The theatre will re-open to the public on Friday, August 28.
Featuring the new Hollywood hits “Unhinged,” “Inception: 10th Anniversary Issue,”
and “The New Mutants,” the theatre will begin selling tickets online by Tuesday, August 25.
For the first week only, a few classic films will be playing for only $5.00 until Christopher Nolan’s “Tenet” opens on September 3. Special sneak previews of “Tenet” will start showing as early as August 31.
Many safety protocols have been implemented for the reopening. These include all staff wearing masks and gloves when working, staff temperatures taken before every shift, hand sanitizing stations throughout the theatre, social distancing suggested where possible, all customers are required to wear mask in public spaces, regular cleaning and sanitizing of seats and touch points throughout the theatre, social distance spacing throughout the building and touchless refills for the annual popcorn buckets and large drinks.
Families and groups of people will be allowed to sit together, with spacing between the next guest programmed into the ticketing system. Signage explaining all safety protocols are posted on the front doors and inside the building.

The Empire 8 will have limited hours and seating capacity but will be open seven days a week.
The Empire 8 Theatre features new luxury, electric reclining seats that have extra padding for comfort and style. Attached trays accommodate your snack and beverage of choice. The new reclining seats are the latest trend in movie theatres around the country. They are the most comfortable seats among any area theatre and are assured to make your movie going experience a pleasurable one.
All concession offerings will be available and include Pub style offerings such as hamburgers and French fries, boneless chicken wings, beer and wine, Orville Redenbacher popcorn, Coca-Cola products, Icee drinks, candy, hot dogs, pizzas, premium nachos and buttered soft pretzels.
The Empire 8 offers a loyalty program to reward regular customers. Free memberships for the Motion Picture Points program will be available at the box office or online. The theatre is completely handicap accessible with special equipment to assist moviegoers who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind or with low vision.
Gift Cards are available and can be redeemed for tickets or food and beverages. They never
